Exiles 2 started their 2023 campaign with a loss at Gubbängen against EKF.

Coach Hunter and Paul had 23 players for the game, aged between 20 to 58 with a mixture of past and new players.

The last couple of years Exiles 2 have had big problems with the scrum when playing EKF, this was not the case during the game, rather the opposite, as EKF was pushed back again and again.

Exiles 2 played in their new Kappa jerseys and shorts (socks to come later).

EKF got the first score after 3 min, but missed the conversion.

Exiles 2 started getting back into the game and after 20 min, Terry scores a great solo try under the posts with the extra points kicked.

EKF score more or less straight after Exiles try, but miss the conversion, 7-12 at half time and all to play for.

The second half starts with Exiles pressing but after about 10 min, EKF get an interception, in their own 22 and score under the posts.

Easy conversion and 7-19.

Exiles have several chances to score, but lack of experiance and mistakes keep the team from scoring.

In the 72 min Exiles are back pressing EK near their own try line and a lose ball comes out the ruck, 5 m from the line, Hamish picks up and nothing will stop him, 12-19, 7 min to go.

Exiles pick up several penatlies but the second one does not go into touch and EKF counter attack and scores with a conversion and get one more try in the last play, final result 12-31.

A great game for rugby, played in good spirits, large crowd and great weather.

Exiles 2 will play EKF another 3 times this year, next time away on May 27th
